November 10th… Do you have a fitness mentor?
On a first thought I would immediately say no to this.
With that being said, I will tell you about my history with Tracy Anderson.
At some point in my late twenties, my weight crept up to about 136. Although I wasn’t fat by any means, I definitely was softer and more rounded then ever. Living in Asia and eating rice often really didn’t aid to any weight loss. I belonged to a gym and did yoga, but nothing really got me down to the low 120’s which was where I really wanted to be.
In 2011 we moved to Denver, and I heard from a friend about the amazing Tracy Anderson. (She is the trainer for many female movie stars and famous people.) So, out of curiosity I invested $30 in her 30 day boot camp book. This included a meal plan, a yummy menu with recipes and cd’s to exercise with. All you need is a chair and 3lb weights. I even joined her facebook support group and later deleted it due to the crazed over the top opinionated followers.
I did the 30 days and had great results.
I then invested in her 90 day program for a little over $90. Although I wasn’t as good at committing myself to the workout everyday, I enjoyed it and did it more often than anything else.
At the end of the 20 days into the 9 day program, I was down 33.25 inches and 18 lbs. I had never been happier.
I have not been as dedicated lately due to all of the changes in my life and super excuses that I make (my tummy sure doesn’t look like that anymore..baby D is going on some crazy growing streak). This week though, I have done the leg and arm workout 3 times. After the first day I was so sore in my legs and rear that I thought I was going to die. But, then remembered that soreness is great! Also, most of her leg workout is done on all fours which right now is a bit hard for me, so I have been doing it laying on each side and then changing to the other side.
I do recommend Tracy Anderson’s workouts. I ordered her pregnancy program but it still hasn’t arrived. The workout is supposed to change each month due to the ability of your belly etc (she filmed while pregnant).
This is an example of her leg workout.
Anyway, she did motivate me and got me to lose the unwanted weight I had sitting on me for years. After the baby comes I intend to restart the 30 day boot camp and then go from there. If it worked once, it should work again.
